I’m David Cusimano, your host, and I’m excited to embark on this journey.  This journey of exploring – what makes some companies succeed and others not?

What makes some emerge from their peers and follow a better trajectory?

And of course, on our journey we’ll need to discuss and define some things before we can get tactical.

Things like: how do we define business success? What is the purpose for the business in the first place?

We’ll be sitting with numerous entrepreneurs, owners, and managers of businesses (most of whom have more experience than I do) and learning directly from them.

So before going any deeper I think its important to start with why we decided to make this podcast. With almost all of the work we do, we start with “why.”  And I think this is no exception.

We at Emerge Dynamics have had the privilege of working with businesses across the world and of hearing some amazing stories.  Stories of ingenuity, inspiration, defeat, comeback, surprises, collaboration. And we can learn from their stories, each one has a lesson and each one has something we can take away to use in our own business.

The area of the economy we are covering collectively forms the largest market on the planet and its protagonists often go unnoticed outside of their direct spheres. This is a group of people who collectively organize the resources to improve our communities and create more jobs and feed more families than any other group.

We at Emerge Dynamics are on a mission to improve the lives of business owners and their employees, customers, vendors, and their surrounding community.  We dream of a collaborative ecosystem where all private companies maximize their valuations and become the best versions of themselves.

We think of this podcast as an audio companion to that mission. I hope you find it intriguing, entertaining, and most of all full of meaningful lessons and advice that can be used in your business.
